11Out10 Upsss Henrique Raposo The remains of John the Baptist are said to have been found in excavations in the Bulgarian city of Sosopol. Henrique Raposo takes an ironic view of the claim in the blog A Tempo e a Desmodo: "Bulgaria is currently going through a difficult economic crisis. ... For that reason it is pinning its hopes on a goose that lays golden eggs: pilgrimage tourism. ... Well, you never can tell, miracles do happen. Who knows, maybe these teeth that have been dug up really did belong to John the Baptist. The problem isn't this Bulgarian claim in itself, but the refusal to allow it to be verified. ... But one thing we do know now is that the Bulgarians are amply endowed with shrewdness. ... I think Portugal should adopt the same strategy. For example we could 'discover' the remains of Noah's Ark on the [Azorean summit] Pico, and 'sight' a Hobbit in the Montes Herminios [ancient name for mountains in Central Portugal]. PS: I swear by all I hold holy that I have seen Yoda [the Jedi Master from the film Star Wars] on the beaches of the Algarve." link do post favorito
